When thousands of lights brighten up the colourful timber-style facades of builings and create a heavenly atmosphere, when the smell of glühwein, pinewood and roasted almonds fill the small alleys and when you hear the sound of Christmas-songs, the coziest and warmest period of the year has started... Some places to discover definitely are Goslar, Wernigerode or Quedlinburg.
